In fact, Wishes Granted creator, Ken Welch
had always focused his work on affirmations that
were recorded in the person's own voice -- simply
because this is the most powerful technique there is
for producing real world results.
Ken has always believed that the best use of
his methodology was strictly a "do-it-yourself" affair.
What could be better than taking control of your own life, having it progress in whatever way
you wish, and even change that direction if you think
of something new along the way? So, while Ken
has always taken on private clients who wanted
their new programming professionally done, his
main efforts have always centered around teaching
people how to do this themselves, with no special
equipment to spend extra money on.
To accomplish this, Ken has written two books,
the first one, "Master Key System", focused on how
to create the true subliminal effect at home
(necessary to get affirmations into the subconscious), and
then the "Wishes Granted
Workbook" once the technique of theta-induced altered states added a
powerful one-two punch to the program. This book is
now undergoing revision, but for two years Ken promoted it by giving classes and seminars
around Houston on how anyone could take charge of
their life and pretty much have anything they
wanted.
The seminars, which will begin again when the
new book is ready, brought out an important factor.
If a person could afford the material, they were
usually excited enough about the concept that they
would purchase it on the spot. However, many
attendees were at the seminar (especially the free
ones) because they had major prosperity
issues they were hoping to solve. The results: the people who
needed to use the Wishes Granted technology the
most simply couldn't afford it!
After worrying about this for much too long,
the answer became obvious. If Wishes Granted
could provide people with something that boosted
their prosperity, then they could afford to explore the
rest of what was offered. This would be a "generic"
CD, not in the user's own voice, not with
affirmations they had tailored themselves, but nonetheless
as powerful as possible. It was an instant success.
To get maximum power, Ken and his
partner/publisher Jeanette, created two
versions: one with a male voice for men, and one with a
female voice for women. The recorded affirmations are the same.
It is simply because the listener's subconscous
can more easily identify with a voice that is the
same sex.
So that is how a program designed to help
people create their own unconscious programming,
and reap the rewards, ended up producing a generic
one-size-fits-all CD. In fact, it has been so
successful that several more are planned.
